On Jan. 1, 2021, the project “Local authorities as anchors of cohesion in the European system of multilevel governance” (in short: KommZuEU), funded by the BMBF, has started its work. Currently, the teams in Speyer and Hagen are reviewing the research literature and preparing the planned survey of German municipalities.
